# Trouble with RCP Macros

Hi Andy, I was trying to record some macros with the CL5 connected. Seems like the RCP module doesn’t record screens actions, I was trying to record send on fade, phase flip and hi pass on and off. Am I doing something wrong?

It will only record actual RCP commands.
If you open the action recorder tab and enable the RCP module, then move a fader or something simple, you’ll see that action recorded. If you try another control, like hpf on/off and you don’t see an action recorded, it’s because that’s a command that Yamaha isn’t supporting with RCP.
I can only support the commands they implement.

Oh ok no worries, can it actually be done with the yamaha midi module?

The CLQL module can perform almost every function on the console, so yes, give it a try!
