I had my utility computer at FOH crash and got a different machine running. I installed Companion 5.0.3 and tried to import the configuration that was working on the previous computer, but my first two buttons won’t retrieve their channel names, and none of the buttons work even though the configuration and connection seem to be running. I don’t want to have to rebuild, what am I doing wrong?
Dm me your exported config and I’ll have a look.
Looks fine, can you send me the module log? Not the companion log, but the module log. Click on the 3 dots beside the RCP connection and select “Open Log” and then do an export.
Unless I got the wrong place, Connections → Yamaha-rcp → dots → >_View logs and nothing is there. I can press buttons and see messages. I’ll send that to you.

Open log, click “close connection” then “open connection”, then DM me the log.

What version of the RCP Module are you running?
Well I just got back to this and it’s running RCP module 3.5.11, but now it appears to be working. I saw a bug fix update for Companion and did that before checking buttons on the DM7 again. I will try working with this again for a while and see if it seems stable. I thought I had sent you a second log after stopping and starting the connection?

Found my confusion. I had two computers running and most Recently when I thought it was fixed, I was looking at the old crashed computer I had fixed. But this new machine is still giving the error - two buttons won’t retrieve names, but the rest will same syntax of command.
Ok, same process.
Open the module log, clear it, stop it, start it then export it and send that to me.
