I have set up a simplex repeater controller with a DTR650 on a mountain top in northern NV on a private group. The range well out-performed my expectations. I also set up a crossband link into my repeater system from a 650 to a vx7r with another controller as an additional input also on another private group !!! Pretty cool how well these work. If only they had a DTMF keypad. Brian nb9e
