I have several DTRs (410, 550, 650) around. I believe they are with old firmware. I am at San Francisco Bay Area. Anyone nearby who has the cable and is willing to help me out? I can pay some fees.

hi, anyone has information on where to get a flashing cable? thanks.

Search eBay. It’s the only likely place anymore.
Here’s one.

Or you can build your own.

$184 is just too much for a simple cable. by the way, can I program radio with the flashing cable?

I agree, but how much would you pay for a bottle of water in the desert? People charge what they can get.
The flash cable is only for updating the firmware. The CPS cable (which is still easy enough to find) is used for programming the radio. Please read my “Start here” thread and have a look at the manual for more information.

when I left Nextel, I threw away a huge box of cables, batteries, etc. I bet they worth something nowadays.

Are flash cables available anywhere?
