I am connected to my DM7 console and companion, but then when i try to record macros, it doesnt record any steps when i press it on the physical console. So sorry to bother you, just dont know what am i doing wrong here. It was working perfectly fine with my CL1 previously.
I assume you’re speaking of the RCP module? If you select the RCP module in the action recorder and enable it, then move a fader on the mixer, is that being recorded?
Thank you Andy, and so sorry for the late late reply. So now i got the steps recorded, one more question is, how can i get the button to change color when triggered? Thank you again.
Typically, you have the button change it’s color based on the state of something you changed on the console. e.g. if your button turns a channel on or off, you use a feedback for the channel on/off to show cause the button to change color. That way, no matter whether you turn the channel on or off from companion or from the console, the button always shows the current state.
What actions does your button have? Show me a screenshot of the actions and I can help you create a feedback for it so the button shows a color when your actions have taken place.
Hello Andy again, sorry for the late reply, my apologies. Previously, i can get it to work on the color change on button press on my CL1, just changed to DM7 and followed the same way i did for DM&, it just didnt work. So sorry for the questions.
Hey Andy, i fiddle with the feedback and managed to get it to work! thank you so much. Could you point me to somewhere i can learn more about what companion can do with DM7? much appreciated!
Can i also asked if its possible to add metering on the SD with DM7?
There are meter presets you can drag into your layout. When you’re on the buttons page, click on “Presets” and then “RCP” and then “Level Meters”. You’ll see a selection of meter types and you can drag those onto a button in the layout to get a meter.
Make sure you enable Metering in the config.
Thank you Andy, i appreciate you. Managed to get what i needed to work, now i am trying to understand more on how the companion can incorporate with the DM7. Any links where i can pick up more?
