How to use Companion with the CL/QL consoles

Hi Andy, im trying to use my stream deck to perform functions such as user definded keys and switching my send section from mixes to matrixes and switching between scenes and more. I really want to get the most use out of my stream deck with a QL/CL

how do i connect the Companion to my CL1 console?
i have added the yamaha-rcp plug-in in companion.
but it returns an error… any clue?
