On the Yamaha DM3 the command to turn on the Mute Group Master seems to differ from other Yamaha Consoles.
For example to turn on Mute Group 1 the RCP Module sends:
MIXER:Current/MuteMaster/On 0 0 1
But it seems the DM3 works with:
MIXER:Current/MuteGrpCtrl/On 0 0 1
There are differences like this between consoles. I actually made a spreadsheet to try and keep track, Yamaha changed their minds as to what certain commands should be when they added new consoles.
However, if you’re choosing the correct console in the config it should show the correct commands, so tell me, what specific problem are you running into?
Thank you! That works great.
With trying that I found:
Cue Clear:
MIXER:Current/Cue/ActiveCue 0 0 “NONE” “NONE”’
would be great too. Maybe sometime in the future.
Btw. I use companion v3.5.2 with the freshly released Yamaha: RCP v3.5.5
Hey man, we’re currently using the DM3 module to get this functionality on the DM7 and it’s working great! Is there a roadmap or any way I can help get this functionality added to the DM7 module?
The Yamaha-RCP module for the Yamaha DM7 doesn’t support muting and unmuting mute groups, but the module for the DM3 does. Do you know if/when that functionality may be added? Also if there’s any additional info or testing I can contribute I’m happy to !
I thought I had seen that in the changelog somewhere, but yes we’re using 3.5.10, and in that module when you select DM7 the MuteGrpCtrl/On action does not appear.
This is huge for us, we just bought more than 10 DM7’s to integrate and we’re using companion commands for a stage talkback, a stream deck pedal with a raspberry pi that hits a companion button that does several things including a mute group. Fantastic work.
