I have tried both serial and usb connections and cant get radio to connect. it finds the correct serial port but wont read the radio
Flashing (updating the firmware) or Programming (Using CPS)?
You should probably start here to learn more about the DTR radios.
You use a USB cable to flash the radio, a Serial (RS232) cable to program them.
