Been using companion for a long time now, recently tried to add my TF1 to the companion family in my setup. My biggest stumbling block is, is there a way to adjust the fader level on a input channel, or Aux master with the knobs on the Stream Deck +? I’ve scoured everywhere looking for a tutorial on how to do it, I’m really hoping this feature is possible, because it would be a PERFECT use for the stream deck rotary knobs, and I can’t for the life of me figure out if it can, or how. (I’m using the Yamaha RCP Module in companion, that was the only module I could see in the list)
Welcome, Spencer!
To use the rotaries, you would want to select the “Relative” checkbox in the action, then set the value to “-1” for a left turn of the rotary, and “+1” for the right turn of the rotary. (If you wanted the step to be higher or lower, you can change the 1 to another number - I go into an advanced method of changing these numbers by selecting a “course” and “fine” adjustment in the 2nd video)
I would highly recommend having a look at my videos that I created which show some of the basics of creating layouts using the RCP module. The process is the same for any of the mixers that the RCP module supports - TF/CL/QL/DM.
