Triggering UDKs

Is there a way to trigger UDK via OSC or Midi?
I need to trigger a GPIO via a Midi Footswitch (OSC is also possible via Companion)

Nope! You can only trigger (some of) the actions that the UDK has.

Which console are you controlling?

Would ut be possible to controll user define keys on a rivage Console and also get feedback of it’s led status.

I have tryed with the generic osc module in companion but I cant get it to work…

Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately that’s not possible until Yamaha adds that command to the RCP protocol.

I wonder though, using the genius lab whether a MIDI note or other message can trigger a genius lab macro to press a UDK?

Yes you can!
But only from the console midi port, not the DSP one…

Iw sent a message to Yamaha, we will se what happens.
In Rivage 7.0 you can now send OSC messages with scene recall.

So you can trigger a UDK from an incoming MIDI message? (via Genius.Lab I assume)
What about an incoming OSC message?
Or a GPI?

What are all the trigger sources available for a Genius.Lab Macro?

Hope I’m not hijacking, but from an “External” perspective, it’s GPI and MIDI. I’m working on a project now to control Rivage screen brightness from a stream deck via companion. I imagine MIDI is the only way this is going to work, but I need to do it over the network.
